OBITUARY - WILMA LUCILLE McDOWELL.

Wilma Lucille McDOWELL, youngest daughter of Wm. E. and Eunice McDOWELL, was born near Tingley May 15, 1913, and departed this life March 27, 1928, at the Des Moines General hospital at Des Moines, Iowa, aged 14 years, 10 months and 12 days. She leaves to mourn their loss father and mother, two brothers, Clyde and Raymond, and five sisters, Mrs. Cecile BUTTERFIELD and Mrs. Birdie HOUGE and Mrs. Faye JACKSON, of Tingley, Iowa; Mrs. Alma HARRIMAN, of Hartford, Iowa, and Mrs. Avalyn FREEMAN, of Clarinda, Iowa. She also leaves a grandmother and grandfather and hosts of relatives and friends. Wilma was of a cheerful disposition and was a freshman in Tingley high school. She took an active part in Sunday school and Epworth League.

"A precious one from us has gone,
A voice we loved is stilled;
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled.
God in His wisdom has recalled,
The boon his love is given,
And though the body slumbers here,
The soul is safe in heaven."

NOTE: Wilma was interred at Tingley Cemetery, Tingley, Ringgold County, Iowa. Eunice R. McDOWELL, Wilma's mother, was born in 1880, and died in 1977. William E. McDOWELL, Wilma's father, was born in 1876, and died in 1946. They were interred at Tingley Cemetery.
