DIED.

Melissa C. McCLEARY, wife of David H. McCLEARY, died October 19, 1887, aged 56 years, 3 months and 15 days.

Mrs. McCLEARY, whose maiden name was EIKER, was born in Adams county, Pa., July 4th, 1831. She united with the German Reformed church in Pennsylvania, and afterward in Illinois with the Presbyterian church, of which church at the time of her death, both she and her husband were members. She was married to David H. McCLEARY November 21, 1857, who with one child, Mrs. Allen TALBOTT, mourn her loss. One child had gone before. Mrs. McCLEARY had been a sufferer a long number of years, until as we firmly believe, she heard the summons, "Come up higher."

NOTE: Melissa C. (EIKER) McCLEARY was interred at Bethel Cemetery near Diagonal, Ringgold County, Iowa.
