OBITUARY - FLOYD McCARTY.

Floyd McCARTY, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. McCARTY, was born July 11, 1892, near New Market, Iowa, and departed this life at his home in Benton, February 27, 1922, at the age of twenty-nine years, seven months and sixteen days.

He was sick but a few days and his death was a shock to the community.

Floyd was married July 23, 1912, to Miss Lela HARRIS. Four children came to bless this home - three boys and one girl. One infant son preceded his father in death.

He leaves a wife, three children, father, a step-mother, two half-brothers, two half-sisters, besides many other relatives and friends to grieve over his going.

The funeral was held from the Benton Methodist church March 1st, at 1:30 p. m., and the body was laid to rest in Rose Hill cemetery at Mount Ayr.
