OBITUARY - MYRON MARRINER.
Myron MARRINER, son of Eliphalet and Julia MARRINER, was born June 28, 1854, in Fulton county, Illinois, and departed this life at his home in Tingley December 24, 1931, aged 77 years, five months and 26 days after an illness of two months. On January 1, 1878, he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Catherine FLOWERS. To this union were born nine children, five having preceded him in death. Mr. and Mrs. MARRINER lived in Fulton County, Illinois, about eighteen years. In 1896 they moved to a farm near Tingley and later retired to the present home in Tingley. Mr. MARRINER was a member of the Masonic lodge. After moving to Iowa he became a member of the M. W. A. One brother and one sister survive him, Mrs. Louisa WHEELER, of Des Moines, the oldest of the MARRINER family, and L. L. MARINER (sic), of Omaha. He is survived by his wife and four children, who were with him during his last illness. Mrs. Vira FRANE, of Seedley, Calif., Floyd F. Mrs. Julia HENDERSON and William of Tingley besides seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Christian church Saturday afternoon at 1:30, conducted by Rev. B. E. DOBBINS and interment in the Tingley cemetery.
