MRS. MANLEY CALLED BY DEATH.

After a critical illness of several weeks' duration, Mrs. Mary Louise MANLEY, mother of the county superintendent of schools, Miss Olive MANLEY, passed away Monday, March 16, at two o'clock a. m. at the home of Miss Phila VARDAMAN, where she had resided since coming with her daughter to Mount Ayr in September. She was born December 9, 1850, and was at the time of her death aged 73 years, three months and seven days. For five years before coming to Mount Ayr Mrs. MANLEY lived in Ellston, where she enjoyed a wide acquaintance and was loved by all who knew her. Since coming to this city she had been in feeble health and during the last few weeks it was realized the end was near. The body was taken to McLeansbro, Ill., her old home, where funeral services will be held today and the interment will be in the McLeansboro cemetery.
