OBITUARY - MRS. CHARLES MACKEY

Eliza McCLAREN was born November 6, 1863, at Mason City, Ill., and departed this life April 23, 1922, at Kellerton, Iowa. She was married to Chas. MACKEY July 4, 1888. To this union were born six children - Frank, Grover and Clyde MACKEY, Mrs. Grace HART, Mrs. Jennie HIGDAY, and Maud MACKEY, all living except Frank, who died August 4, 1919, and Maude who died in infancy. Besides the husband and children she leaves to mourn her death six grandchildren, also three sisters, Mrs. B. M. LESAN, Mount Ayr, Iowa; Mrs. Fred ELDERDING, of Omaha, Neb.; and Mrs. W. A. PIKE, of Kellerton., Iowa, and a host of friends. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother and a kind neighbor. She was always patient although an invalid the last year of her life.

She was a member of the Apostolic church and sought to order her life according to the Lord.

Funeral services were held from the Methodist church Tuesday, conducted by Rev. BENNETT. Interment was at Maple Row cemetery [Kellerton, Iowa].

NOTE: Frank H., son of Eliza (McCLAREN) and Charles MACKEY, was born on December 27, 1889, and died on August 4, 1919. Maudie M., daughter of Eliza (McCLAREN) and Charles MACKEY, died at the age of two months and two days on May 8, 1895. Frank and Maudie were interred at Maple Row Cemetery, Kellerton, Ringgold County, Iowa.

Clyde R., son of Eliza (McCLAREN) and Charles MACKEY, was born in 1900, and died in 1988 with interment at Benton Cemetery, Benton, Ringgold County, Iowa.
