Ringgold Record, 1890

OBITUARY.

Saturday, August 9th, 1890, Nellie LUNDERS, aged 5 months and 27 days, after a brief illness, quietly breathed her life away.

"And the mother gave in tears and pains
The flower she most did love.
She knew she would find it safe again
In the fields of light above.
O, not in cruelty, not in wrath,
The Reaper came that day;
Twas an angel visited the green earth
And took the flower away."
August 14th the mother followed little Nellie to the land of rest.

Miss Emma ATZ was born in Switzerland July the 6th, 1866, moved to Iowa with her parents in 1871, and December the 15th, 1882, was married to Chas. LUNDERS. Mrs. LUNDERS was a kind and affectionate wife and mother loved by all who knew her. She knew that she must die, and her only anxious thought was, "what will become of my babe?" - the child the very picture of health. Yet He who knows best called the child first. May God comfort this doubly bereaved husband and father.
--M. A. Evans.
