ELLA GOTT, 90

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 18, at the Barnes City Methodist church, for Ella Florence Gott. Rev. Ivan Howard officiated. Mrs. William Landstrum played the organ as Leslie Steele sang "Ivory Palaces." Casketbearers were Everett McClure, Paul Kinzebach , Alfred Graham, Charles Hamilton, Carl Speas, and Harold Sanders. Interment was at the Barnes City cemetery.

Ella Florence, daughter of Nancy and John McSpadden, was born Sept. 5, 1872, in Mahaska county, and passed away April 16 at the Rest Haven nursing home, Oskaloosa, at ninety years of age.

Jan. 18, 1891, she was united in marriage with Willis Gott, and to this union, three sons and two daughters were born.

She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist church for many years. Later she transferred her membership to the Barnes City Methodist Church and maintained her membership there until her death. Her devout Christian life was an inspiration to those who knew her.

She is survived by two sons, Bonnie, of San Diego, Calif., and John, of Mt. Pleasant; eight grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
