OBITUARY.

Jane C. Goodno was born in New York, Dec. 18th, 1813. On Sept. 20th, 1836 she was marreid to Alson Denison, who preceded her to the Heavenly Home on May 25th of the present year. Eight children were born to them, three sons, and five daughters. Three daughters and two sons survive.

In 1853 they moved to Cambridge, Ill., then a village of very few houses and suffered there the trials and privations incident to pioneer life. In 1878 they moved to Iowa and settled in Montgomery county, where they lived until six years ago, when on account of advanced age they broke up housekeeping and made their home with a daughter, Mrs. Louis Maurer of Sidney.

Mr. and Mrs. Denison enjoyed the unusual privilege of almost 67 years of married life, nearly an average lifetime.

Since the death of her husband, Mrs. Denison has lived with her daughter, Mrs. J.L. Judkins of Grinnell at whose home she passed away Sunday, Dec. 27th, at the age of 90 years and 9 days.

Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday, Dec. 29th, conducted by the Rev. W.W. Woodburn of the United Presbyterian church, of which she was a member. Final services and burial took place at her old home in Sidney, Thursday, Dec. 31st.
