MARY TURNER RITES CONDUCTED
Mary Turner, 74, of Corning, a native of Grinnell, died Sunday, Dec. 9, at Davenport following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church of Corning, with the Revs. Ken Rummer and Wilton Sinning officiating. Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Corning.
The daughter of William and Della Andrews Saunders, she was born Nov. 27, 1910, in Grinnell. She was a teacher in the Corning schools.
Survivors include her husband, Theodore Turner of Corning; one son, Ted of Chicago, four daughters, Laura Hoffman of Manhattan, Kan., Elizabeth Turner of Davenport, Jane Cooper of Holy Cross and Cathy Remington of Anamosa; 13 grandchildren; and three brothers, Robert of Modesto, Calif., William of Coulterville, Calif., and Richard of Riverside, Calif.
