SERVICES HELD
SATURDAY FOR
MRS. H. TURNER

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 26th, for Mrs. Harriet A. Turner, from the Friends church at Lynnville with the Rev. Carl D. Byrd, officiating.

Mrs. Turner died at Grinnell on November 24th following an illness of several years. She would have observed her 82nd birthday today.

Born at Sugar Creek on November 28th, 1873, she was the daughter of William Sparks and Angeline Burnham. On May 16th, 1891, she was united in marriage with William Pierce Turner, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Turner had lived in Grinnell for about two and one-half years, coming here from Lynnville. She was a member of the Friends church at Lynnville.

Surviving are three children, Guy Turner of Salem, Ore.; Mrs. Byron (Grace) Quivey of Los Altos, Calif.; and Mrs. Harvey (Gladys) Powell of Grinnell.

A brother, Milton Sparks of Lynnville, and a sister, Mrs. Flora Hull of Jasper County also survive.

Mrs. Harriet Macy was the pianist at the final rites and Mrs. Finis Allee and Mrs. Helen Gause were the vocalists.

Pallbearers, all nephews were: Bert Meredith, Floyd Sparks, Glen Sparks, Kenneth Sparks, Lloyd Sparks and Roscoe Sparks.

Interment was at Lynnville cemetery.
