DARLENE HESS, 64

Darlene Hess passed away to her Mountain of Peace early Thursday morning, July 5, 2007.

Her memorial service was held July 9 at Lindquist Mortuary in Layton, Utah.

Darlene, daughter of Orville and Lucille Lambirth Spain, was born Jan. 1, 1943, in Oskaloosa. She was raised in the Barnes City area and graduated from North Mahaska High School.

Darlene and Chuck Hess became as one July 20, 1985. Chuck brought her everything she needed to enjoy life to the fullest.

Darlene was a travel agent for Morris Murdock for over 31 years where she accomplished the travels that she wanted to do, enriching her life as well as others. She was an avid Utah Jazz fan. She also enjoyed wildlife photography from her haven in the mountains.

She is survived by her husband, Chuck Hess; sons Lance and Derek, daughter Kris, a brother, Darrell Spain of Barnes City; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother and a grandson.

She can now rest in peace, comfort and tranquility. May her love be with us all in our hearts forever.
