Seeking any information on Josiah Poland.

Josiah is shown on the 1880 census and living in Valley Township, Polk County, Iowa. According to another source, he moved there in about 1878.

Josiah's wife was Eliza Minerva Christman. They had ten children---Mary Ella, John W., Kate, James E. Ida E., Alice, Clara J., Lydia A. Myrtle (Mertie)and Arthur.

Some of the children, Myrtle and Arthur, may have been born in Polk County and I would like to confirm birth dates.

Am especially interested in any documents that show the names of Josiah's parents. We have been trying for over 20 to identifying them.
