PROUDFOOT - Funeral services for Mrs. Hannah Jane Proudfoot, who died Wednesday (26 Jul 1922), will be held at Tomlinson's funeral parlors tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in the McDivitt cemetery (Urbandale, Polk, Iowa). Mrs. Proudfoot was born in Loudoun County, Virginia July 20, 1836. She married John B. Martin (1807-1890) in 1852. They had eight children, four of whom survive her. In 1858 they settled in Warren county (Iowa), and lived there twenty-eight years. Mrs. Proudfoot has lived in Des Moines thirty-six years. Her first husband died in 1890. Some years later she married C.L.W. Proudfoot, who died twelve years ago. Children who survive are: Mrs. Nancy Ewing (1866-1927), Des Moines; Mrs. Bell Myers (Isabelle 1857-1915), Onawa (Iowa); Abraham Lincoln Martin (1865-1948), New Virginia (Iowa); and George Washington Martin (1869-1933), Onawa (Iowa). Twenty-five grandchildren and sixty-one great grandchildren also survive her. (Edited and corrected version)
