I am searching for information on the parents of Frank (or Franklin) DeMar, aka Frank Xavier Demarais or Frank Xavier DeMar. He was born in 1830 and died October 25, 1919 in Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa. He was Buried in Hampton Cemetery in Franklin County, Iowa. His wife was Mary Ann (Bovia)DeMar, who died May 15, 1906 and is buried there as well. I have been searching for an obituary for Frank, who is my great grandfather, in hopes it would provide the names of his parents, but I have not been able to locate one. I am hoping a county or state record might show that information. I have been searching for about 2 years and would appreciate any help or suggestions. Thank you.
