John and Gerard Chapman Godfrey

Any information concerning John (b. Council Bluffs abt. 1857) and Gerard Chapman Godfrey (b. Council Bluffs Nov. 1852), sons of Orlando Hallam Godfrey (b. abt 1821 Connecticut) in Polk Co. Gerard married Ellen A. Brown in Polk Co. in 1875 and lived in Wyoming in 1900 until his death. There is a John Godfrey, cook in Hotel Goldstone, in an 1890 Des Moines directory who might be ours, but more information is needed.
