1st Lutheran Church & Records

BARQUIST, BERGQVIST, SODERHOLM, HANIFEN

I am looking for info on the 1st Lutheran Church in Des Moines. Does it still exist? Are there any records that are available? I believe my ggrandfather Pehr Bergqvist/Peter William Barquist (b Sweden 14 Sept 1845)was a member and was married (14 Oct 1874) to Anna Christine Soderholm (b Sweden 15 Feb 1856) in this church and were long term members.
Any help on the chuch, records or info on these people would be greatly appreciated.
