James Thomas LOCKHART

LOCKHART, MCCLAIN, CHANDLER

My great-grandfather, James Thomas LOCKHART and great-grandmother, Mary Eliza MCCLAIN were married on December 6, 1857 in Polk County Iowa. Are there any records in Polk County that may give additional information on these family members? The 1860 U.S. Census of Jefferson Township, Polk County, Iowa, shows them living in Iowa with their son, Joseph Lockhart and a Jos(eph) P. Chandler. Could there be any birth or baptismal records on this child. Because of the possible scottish background, they could be Presbyterian. Chandler is James Thomas Lockhart's mothers maiden name. Mary Eliza McClain's father Jacob Duckel McClain is possibly living in Iowa also. Any help would be appreciated. I would be glad to share what information that I have.
