Des Moines semi-pro baseball, circa 1910 - 1915?

Looking for information regarding a semi-pro baseball team in Des Moines, circa 1910 - 1915. Am hoping to find info on John Clarence Peterson who is said to have played on a team until he hurt his arm.

John Clarence Peterson was born October 21, 1893 at Oswalt, Iowa. He moved to Minnesota sometime before WWI. I do have info on him and his life in later years.
