James Farley

FARLEY, STANTON, LUNSFORD

There is a James Farley listed as a laborer in the 1891 Des Moines Directory. He lived at 940 W. 10th Street. Does anyone have any books or databases that might tell me more about this James Farley.

I am seeking information on my gg grandfather James Farley, born about 1828 in Ireland, immigrated to Canada and married Catherine Stanton in either Canada or IA. I can find him in the 1880 census for Jasper Counter near Kellogg, but nothing after that. He is believed to have immigrated to SD and died there in 1905. This is not confirmed. I do know his son Thomas Farley stayed in IA and married Amy Lunsford in 1900 in Davis County, IA.

Any information would be appreciated. You may contact me directly at elunsford4@comcast.net.

Thanks. Ernie Lunsford, Olathe, KS
