Des Monies (Polk Co.)

My aunt told me that her parents got married in Des Monies, Iowa about 1912/13. Also, that her father, George Walters, had owned or ran a cigar store in Des Monies about this time. The story she heard from one of her aunts was my grandmother and a friend took a train from Chicago to Des Monies for a weekend. There she met George Walters and she came back married to him. I find this a strange story but since I have not been able to find their marriage, I am hoping someone could check the marriages for me around that time.
Another relative who had stopped briefly in Des Monies, said she found him and the cigar store listed in a city directory for about 1912 but she didn't make a photocopy of it. I'd like a photocopy of that listing.
