James Kalianoff, 90, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.
James was born on July 13, 1921 in Streeter, North Dakota, to Nicolai and Tatiana Grekoff Kalainoff. He moved to Iowa as a child and graduated from Plainfield High School in Plainfield, Iowa. He was united in marriage to his wife, Mary, in September, 1954 in Waterloo, Iowa.
James is survived by his children; Randall (Beth) Kalianoff of Des Moines, Iowa, Sharon (Tom) Beem of Clive, Iowa, Gregory Kalianoff of Des Moines, Iowa and Laura (Ines) Burriola of Des Moines, Iowa; his grandchildren, Leland Kalianoff, Nicholas Kalianoff, Eric Kalianoff, Alexandra Beem, Theodore Beem, Josiah Burriola, Anna Burriola, and Emma Burriola; a brother, John Kalainoff of Denver, Iowa.
Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 24, 2011 at Valley Evangelical Free Church, 4343 Fuller Rd, West Des Moines, Iowa with visitation from 12 to 12:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines, Iowa.
