Anne Capps, 88, loving wife, mother and grandmother, died Friday, September 16, 2011 at Parkridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pleasant Hill. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 21 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery.

Anne was born in Omaha, NE on January 22, 1923 to Vernon and Viola (Floth) Guerin. She moved to Des Moines in 1958 where she raised a family with her husband, Dale Capps. She was a member of St. Joseph Church and Rosary Society and volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader.

Those left to cherish Anne's memory include her son, William Dale Capps, Jr. (Susan Green) of Des Moines; two daughters, Cathy (Frank) Robey of Pleasant Hill and Judy (Richard) Jacavino of Ankeny; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and three brothers.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Iles Funeral Homes-Grandview Park Chapel where a vigil service and rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Joseph Church and School.
