Funeral services for Genal Pearl Larsen were held at Hartley, Iowa, with Rev. Dave Erickson officiating. Interment was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Primghar, Iowa, under the direction of Warner Funeral Homes, Hartley, Iowa.

OBITUARY

Genal Pearl Larsen, the daughter of Allen and Genevieve Tischer Rodenberg, was born June 3, 1954, in Spencer, Iowa, where she received her early education, graduating from Spencer High School.

Genal married Dennis Larsen on June 6, 1970 in Sanborn, Iowa. The early years of their marriage were spent in the Hartley and Spencer areas before moving to Sanborn. For the pas eleven years, she owned and operated Genal's Cafe. She enjoyed cooking and baking and was an extremely hard worker. Genal was a member of the Lutheran Church of Sanborn.

Genal passed away in Hartley on June 4, 2000, at the age of 56. She was preceded in death by her father.

Genal is survived by her husband, Dennis, of Sanborn, five children: Denise Delgadillo of Sioux City and her children, Whitney and Alexander; Dennis Larsen, Jr. and his wife, Kris and their son Dylan of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Diana Larsen, her children Briana and KiRone of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Dena Honken and her husband Shawn and their son Grant of Hartley, and Dee Larsen of Peru, Nebraska; her mother, Genevieve Rodenberg of Spencer, one brother and his wife, Alan and Theresa Rodenberg of Worthington, Minnesota; three half brothers, Kenneth Rodenberg of Lakefield, Minnesota, Galen Morgan and his wife Louise of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Terry Morgan and his wife, Ernestine of Des Moines, Iowa; one half sister and her husband, Florene and Gaylord Bobzein of Hartley; other relatives and friends.
