SIDWELL THOMPSON
Funeral services were held Monday, April 17 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Primghar, for Sidwell Thompson, 77, of Primghar. Father LeRoy Seuntjens officiated.
Pallbearers were C. B. Larson, William Epping, John Epping, Shirley Strand, Ivan Thompson,
and Marian Jones.
Military Services were conducted by Chateau Thierry Post No . 36, American Legion. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Primghar with Gaudian Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Sidwell Thompson was born April 14, 1895 at
Paullina, lowa., and died April 14, 1972 at Baum-Harmon Hospital following a long
illness
He was married to Nellie Burns, Jan. 6, 1921 at Sanborn.
He was a veteran of WW I and farmed until 1956 when he took a position with the O'Brien County Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Commission
(Mrs. Thompson died in 1967.
Four brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
He is survived by a son John of Primghar;
daughter, Mrs. Elaine Lacy of Milwaukee; sisters, Mrs. Alma Strand of Primghar, Mrs.
Bertina Strand and Mrs. Mavis Jacobs, both of Paullina; brothers, John and Isaac, both of Paullina; and Carney of Primghar awl 11
grandchildren.
