In Sept. 1936, my great grandmother, Sarah (Robinson) Hoadley died in Albia, Monroe Co., IA. The family bible was given to a cousin. Sarah's daughter talked him into letting her have it, promising to return it. The daughter, Mary, died in 1997. The bible was never returned to the cousin. Mary had no children and her husband died many years ago. Family members that lived near Mary and help to care for her do not remember ever seeing a bible. I would love to know where the bible is and at least have a copy of whatever info may be written in it. There should also, hopefully, be a picture of Sarah's mother or sister in-law, supposedly an American Indian with long braids. I would dearly like to have a copy of this picture, probably taken before 1886.
