I am researching my husband's family. His grandfather was Eli A. Thornton, who died in 1920. James E., Margaret A., Amy, and George are buried in Albia, with Eli. Aaron and Thomas M. Thornton are listed on the Monroe Co. Militia Roll. We have no information on Eli's family, or how he might be related to these Thornton's. Eli's birthdate is listed as Oct 1898 and 1899, his father's place of birth-Mass, no name listed. His mother's place of birth-Wales, no name listed. I would greatly appreciate any information.
