Interested in your query with the Maxon/Maxson names. I descend from the Maxson/ Maxon Family of RI, NY, WI, then IA. The story goes that my gg-Grandfather Norman Maxon dropped the "s". Have you seen the Maxson website based in RI? Always interested in exchanging information.
