I am looking for information on John Cobley who was charged with murder in Albia, Monroe Co. IA in 1912. I know that he died in 1912 and is buried in the Oakview Cem. in Albia. I'm hoping someone can help me find out more about the murder he was charged with and was he executed for the murder?
I'm also looking for info on a William Cobley b. 1865 who lived in Albia, IA in the 1900 census. A William Cobley was charged with a murder in Albia in 1908 but escaped. I'm hoping to find out more about this murder and if he was ever caught and tried.
