Orphan Train maybe

Need any reference to Charles Kidney:
I have 1880census Charles is 15 yrs old as a laborer on the farm of a James O'Connor and James'65 yr old mother. Wayne,Monroe Co Iowa
A 1920 census 1WD Albia,Troy. Monroe Co. Iowa waiting to receive image.But states he's born NY. He'd be about 54 yrs.in 1920. Most likely he died in the 1940's. He was born in NY but showed up in his teens in Iowa. We suspect he was orphan trained as he and two brothers were in an orphanage here in NY.1867-1870's.He was the youngest of three boys. The eldest was "famed out" to a farm, here in NY and was my GrtGrandfather. Death certif/obit/headstone/cemeterie info/marriage? anything would be fine to see if this is our Charles. Mother died 1867. But he had a father unable(I assume) to care for the boys after two enlistmemts in the Civil War and a deceased wife.
