Searching fo rmy Grandmother

My grandmother Elizabeth Swift was born March 29,1861 in Monroe county. Rumor has it that she was illegitimate, and was raised by the Bailey family. I also have some notes that her mother's maiden name could have been Calhoun. I have not been able to connect her to anyone on any census in the years following her birth.
In 1892, she married my Grandfather John J. Miller in Monroe county. Does anyone have any idea of any records for Elizabeth?
