SLOAN, Iowa - William F. Rose, 96, of Sloan, died Wednesday in a hospital at Onawa.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Wood Funeral Home at Sloan. The Rev. Roy Struble will officiate. Burial will be in the German City Cemetery, near Holly Springs.

Mr. Rose was born March 28, 1885, near German City.

He married Bessie Mumford Dec. 31, 1914, in Vona, Colo. She died in 1916. He married Anna Weber April 12, 1923. She died in 1974. He farmed near German City until 1945 when he moved to Sloan where he was a carpenter for a few years.

Survivors include one brother, Elmer of Longmont, Colo.
