HORNICK, Iowa - Etta Prichard, 94, of Hornick died Sunday in a nursing home in Whiting after a long illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the United Methodist Church in Hornick. The Rev. Gary DeGeest will officiate. Burial will be in Willow Township Cemetery at Holly Springs. Visitation will be afternoon today with a prayer service at 7 p.m. in the Wood Funeral Home in Sloan.

Mrs. Prichard, the former Etta Haitz, was born July 11, 1890, in Tawana, Ill. She married Clyde H. Prichard April 22, 1914, in Sioux City. They made their, home in Hornick for many years where she taught dramatics at various schools in the area. They then resided at Schaller for 20 years, moving to Seattle, Wash., where she was head of the complaint department at a Sears Store for 15 years. The couple returned to Hornick. Mr. Prichard died Jan. 13, 1976, in Sioux City and she had made her home in Pleasant View Nursing Home in Whiting the last five years.

Mrs. Prichard was a member of the United Methodist Church at Hornick, Library Club and the Schaller Chapter Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Clayton (Marian) Biggins of Hornick; three sons, Quinn of Noxon, Mont., Stan of Houston, Texas, and Ken of Seattle; one sister, Mrs. Lucille Paine of California; two brothers, Fred of California and Louis of Sloan; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren
