Carol Lea Glau, 77, of Indio, California, formerly of Onawa, Iowa passed away July 12, 2021 in Indio, California.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 22, 2021 at the Rush Family Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with Reverend Christopher LaBoube officiating. Burial will follow in the Belvidere Cemetery, Turin, Iowa. Visitation will be 9:00 – 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 22, 2021 at the chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.

Carol Lea was born December 27, 1943 in Berkeley, California where her parents, Arthur Glau and Evelyn (Norby) Glau had moved for the war effort and the building of the western shipyard. At an early age, she and her parents moved back to Iowa. Her childhood was lived in the Moorhead, Soldier, and Turin area. She attended Castana Elementary school and graduated from Onawa High School. She attended Morningside College and graduated from Nettleton Business School.

In 1964, she married Larry Doeschot in Onawa, Iowa, and had two children, Shawna and Tara. During her career Carol was in sales and was an administrative assistant/office manager in California, Oregon, Washington, and Arizona.

Carol was a member of the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church for forty-seven years.

Survivors include her two daughters, Shawna Coon of La Quinta, California, and Tara Gunderson of Sioux City, Iowa; four grandchildren, Amber Ulinger of Sacramento, California, Ashley Ulinger of Daly City, California, Preston Dunn of Sioux City, Iowa and Emma Binneboese of Sioux City, Iowa; one brother, Jim Glau of Oberlin, Kansas; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Evelyn (Norby) Glau.
