Cleta Lois Sisson, 87, of Onawa, Iowa passed away on July 13, 2021 while at Elmwood Care Centre, Onawa, Iowa.

A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 16, 2021 at the Rush Family Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with Evangelist Dale Wolf, officiating. Burial will follow in the Harrison Cemetery, Whiting, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.

Cleta was born to Doyle and Gladys (Davis) Sisson on September 2, 1933. She attended school in Castana, Iowa. She helped her dad with farming and worked in the kitchen with her mom, and became a wonderful pie baker. Cleta was a friendly, sweet and gentle person. She was always willing to help others. Cleta loved children and babysat numerous children throughout her life, as well as keeping track of her fifteen nieces and nephews, who loved her dearly.

Cleta is survived by her brother, Gayle Sisson of Eagle Grove, Iowa; sister, Jannette Burns of South Sioux City, Nebraska; and fourteen nieces and nephews.

Cleta was preceded in death by her parents, Doyle and Gladys (Davis) Sisson; brother, Kenneth Sisson; sister, Audrey Meier; two brothers-in-law, Wayne Meier and A.J. Burns; sister-in-law, Audrey Sisson; and niece, Teresa Soesbe.
