21 April 2021Linda Louise Althoff, 67, of Onawa, Iowa passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at her residence.
A memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the First Christian Church, Onawa, Iowa with Pastor Michael Lewis officiating. (Please bring and wear masks). Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Friday, April 23, 2021 at the Rush Family Chapel, Onawa, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.
Linda Louise was born January 18, 1954 in Paducah, Kentucky, the daughter of Joseph and Jo Ann (Vargo) Dunlap, Sr. She graduated from West Monona High School in 1973. Linda was a homemaker for several years. She worked for Dairy Queen, Piggly Wiggly, and was a bakery manager for Fiesta Foods in Onawa, Iowa for many years until her retirement in 2019.
Linda and John William Althoff were united into marriage June 30, 1973 in Onawa, Iowa. To this union two children were born, Tina Jo and Debbie.
She enjoyed photography, hiking, going on adventures, crocheting, and taekwondo. Linda loved visiting with many people. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and going to all their sporting events.
Linda was a member of The First Christian Church, Onawa, Iowa.
Survivors include her two daughters, Tina Jo Anderson, and Debbie McKinley; grandchildren, Eein and Gabe McKinley; her brothers and sisters, Rose, Lucille, Carol, Jeanne, Hope, Joseph, and Raymond; close friend, Melissa Watson and her family; her dog, Gizmo; and many cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Joann (Vargo) Dunlap, Sr.; husband, John Althoff; and granddaughter, Stephanie Anderson.
