February 19, 1920Humphrey Mount was born in Laporte, Indiana, February 23, 1840 and departed this life February 15, 1920 at his home in Little Sioux, Iowa, being 78 years, 11 months and 20 days old. When a child of 4 years with his parents he moved to Wisconsin. In 1860 he moved to Minnesota. In 1862 he enlisted into with CO. A. Minnesota volunteers and served three years. He was married in 1872 to Miss Matilda Struble who with one son, two daughters, two grandchildren and one great grand child, and many other relatives and a host of friends are left to mourn his death. Mr. mount united with the M. E. Church in Jordan Township in early life.
