KIND MOTHER ANSWERS LAST CALL

MRS. GUS TRONSTROM OF MAPLETON LAID TO REST LAST SUNDAY

She died at her home There After an Illness of Several weeks on February 11 Dash funeral services were held Sunday.

After an illness extending over a period of time Mrs. Gus Tronstrom passed away at her home in Mapleton last Wednesday noon, February 11, 1920.

She had received all the care that skilled physicians could give her but to no avail. When the death of Mrs. Tronstrom from was known throughout the town in cast a shadow of gloom over the entire community. She who had lived there for many years cat one her way in the hearts of all who had known her, a kind lovable woman, a mother whose place can never be filled in the household again had answered the call. Her life‘s work on earth was finished and her soul had gone to be its Master.

Katherine Elizabeth Erickson was born at Faulen, Sweden, on May 29, 1872, and came to America in 1891 settling at Sioux City, Iowa. During August of the same year she was united in marriage to Gus Tronstrom at Sioux City and to this happy union was born four children; Esther, who teaches at Sioux City, Mrs. Roscoe Kidder who resides at Epworth, Iowa , Elsie who is at home and one son Clyde who resides here. Her mother and her father are living and three sisters Mrs. Berg of Sweden, Mrs. Statt of Montana, and Mrs. Lawson of New York.

The funeral services were conducted from the St. John’s Episcopal church at Mapleton on Sunday afternoon at two-thirty by her pastor, Rev. Handy and the remains were laid to rest in the Mount Hope cemetery.
