In the name of God Amen.

We Anthony Carter of the age of eighty years and Emma Carter wife of Anthony and o the age of eighty years both of the Town of Cedar in the County of Mitchell and State of Iowa and being of sound mind and memory do make, publish and declare this our last will and testament in manner following.

That is to say
Knowing full well that at our age that we are unable to manage our farm we allow our son, Anthony Carter, Jr. with is wife to enter on our farm and premises and take charge of the farm and personal property and while we live we have our maintenance and support and well cared for and for such.

First after all funeral expenses are paid, we give and bequeth to our said son, Anthony Jr. , all our Real and Personal property of every name and nature with the exceptions of One Dollar to each of our sons vis:

George Carter, Joseph Carter and Philip Carter
We hereby appoint Dr. L. Squire of Mitchell Executor of tis our last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by us made.
In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands this 8 day of March A.D. 1890.

The above instrument was at the dae thereof signed and declared by the said Anthony Carter and by his wife Emma Carter as and for their last will and testament inpresence of us who at their bequest and in their presence have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.
