LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT

I, Jane Jones, of the town of Orchard, County of
Mitchell and State of Iowa, do make this my last
will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time made.

I give, devise and bequeath all my propery, real and personal, which I may own at the time of my death, as follows, to-wit:
1. I direct that my Executors shall first pay all my just debts, funeral expense and expenses of last sickness.
2. I give and bequeath to my daughter, Mrs. Alice Upham, the sum of $20.00, the income from which is to be used to properly care for my cemetery lot in the Orchard Cemetery.
3. I give and bequeath to Sam Jones, my grandson, and the son of Edward Jones, the sum of
$50.00, for his namesake.
4. To my three grandsons, Lynn Varnum, Harold Varnum and Fred Varnum Junior, all sons of my daughter, Mary Varnum, I give and bequeath to each the sum of $300.00 to be paid to them as follows:

a. To Lynn Varnum within one year after my death.

b. To Harold Varnum and Fred Varnum Junior when they become twenty-one years of age, and until they become twenty-one years of age, I direct that my Executors shall hold their share and invest the same, and pay the income from said legacies to the boys until they each become of age.

5. All the rest, residue and remainder of my property, both real and personal, of whatever kind, I give, devise and bequeath absolutely, in equal sares, to my six chilren, as follows: Mrs. Alice Upham, John Jones, Humphrey Jones, Mrs. Hattie McManigle, Mrs. Bessie Clark, and Edward Jones. If any one of my said children named in this paragraph shall have died, leaving issue, his or her share shall go to such issue; but if anyone of them shall have died without issue, his or her share shall be divided equally among those who survive.
6. I hereby nominate my son, John Jones, and my daughter, Mrs. Alice Upham, to be the Executors of this, my last will and testament, and exonerate them from giving bonds.

In Witness Whereof, I have to this my last will and testament consisting of one sheet of paper, subscribed my name this 19th day of April, 1918.

We hereby certify that on this 19th day of April, 1918, at Osage, in Mitchell County, Iowa, Jane Jones, to use personally known, did, in our presence, sign the foregoing instrument and declare the same to be her last will and testament, and we, at her request, and in her presence, and in the presence of each other, do hereunto subscribe our names as witnesses thereto.
