O. H. Halverson has lived in Newburg township since he was nine years of age. He was born in Rock Co., Wis., on the 7th of August, 1844, and in 1853 came with his parents to this county. He was married Jan. 1, 1874, to Bertha Olson. She was born in Norway. They have four children living—Herman, Jennie, Carl O. and Ingval A. They are identified with the Norwegian Lutheran Church. Mr. Halvorson is a republican in politics. He has frequently been honored with local offices.
