What happened to Harry Baird?

Hi,
In researching my gg-aunt Flora Harriet McKown, I find her married to Harry Lewellan Baird, son of Channing (I think) on 15 Jan, 1911. Theywere living in Pott. County in 1915 and Harry registered for the draft from Pottowatamie County in 1917. Then he drops out of sight as far as the census goes.

Flora is found in the 1920 census in Los Angeles, CA. In 1921 she re-married to Abram B. Collings in Los Angeles.

What happened to Harry?? Did he die in WWI? in the influenza epidemic? Did they divorce? I'd love any clues to this puzzle. Unfortunately, no one from the "right generation" of the family is left to point me in the right direction!
