Kelli Jo and Justin Joe Brooks of Oskaloosa, IA gave birth to a premature son, Nathaniel Joseph, on Friday, February 27, 2009, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, IA.

He was seemingly a perfect little boy and would have been welcomed by a sister, MaKenzie and a brother, Alexander; maternal grandparents, Marty and Julie Van Wyk and Aunt Ashley Van Wyk of Leighton, IA; paternal grandparents, Debbie and John Vander Wert and uncles, Dustin Brooks and Steve Harrod of Pella, IA; along with great-grandparents: Marion and Nancy Terpstra, Lloyd and Betty Verploeg.

Nathaniel now lives with Jesus and prayers of committal were held on Monday, March 2, 2009 at Oakwood Cemetery in Pella, IA.
