Angelene Vigneri, 86, of Pella, Iowa, formerly of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the Hospice of Pella Comfort House in Pella, Iowa.

Angelene was born on December 26, 1922 in St. Joseph, Missouri, the daughter of Philip and Helen Dumitrov.

Angelene graduated from Benton High School in St. Joseph. Angelene was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. After raising her three children, she was employed with Southwestern Bell for five years. She later worked for St. Vincent DePaul Thrift Store part time for 15 years.

Angelene met Joseph Vigneri, fell in love and on September 6, 1947 they were united in marriage at St. James Catholic Church in St. Joseph and for 62 years had a happy life together. She was an active member at St. Patrick and St. Mary Catholic Church and the Altar Society.

In 2009, Angelene and Joseph moved to Pella, Iowa to be closer to their daughter Mary and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, George Dumitrov and a half sister, Freida Reinhert.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph; daughter, Mary Catherine Boles and husband Gary, Pella, Iowa; sons Dr. Phillip Vigneri and wife, Margie, Jersey City, New Jersey; Thomas Vigneri and wife, Goldie, Harrodsburg, Kentucky; one sister, Mary Shultz, Kansas City, Kansas; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, with one more expected in July and one nephew and three nieces.

Interment: Mt. Olivet Cemetery, St. Joseph, MO
