Larry Schneider, 41, of Pella, IA and formerly of Rochester, Minnesota died at his home Thursday, November 27, 2008.

Lawrence Alan Schneider was born December 7, 1966, in Sioux Falls, SD the son of Conrad and Bernice (Boldt) Schneider.

He grew up in Rochester and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1985, then graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Following graduation he excelled in all of his professional endeavors and had most recently been employed as a Sr. Project Engineer at Pella Window Corporation since 2001.

Larry married his high school sweetheart and beautiful bride, Jenifer Joy Tlougan, on April 16, 1988 in Rochester.

When not spending time with his cherished family, Larry enjoyed scuba diving, hunting and running. Some of his fondest memories include time spent together with family scuba diving in the Cayman Islands. Larry was especially at peace when the waves of the ocean were nearby, as reflected by one of his favorite quotes, “For He hath founded it upon the Seas.”

On October 19, 2008 Larry achieved a significant personal accomplishment by running the Des Moines Marathon. His inspiration for self-improvement also led him to become a self-taught guitar player.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Jenifer (Tlougan) Schneider, daughter, Megan Schneider, a freshman at Iowa State University studying Interior Design, and sons Luke (11) and Daniel Schneider (10) of Pella; parents Conrad and Bernice Schneider of Palisade, MN; brother, Jim Schneider and wife, Melanie of Clear Lake; sister, Carla Groebner and husband Jim of Inver Grove Heights, MN; parents-in-law, Leonard and Janice Tlougan of Rochester; sister-in-laws Jean Pool and husband, Tom of Rochester and Jayne Landua and husband Royce of Cypress, TX; and many loving nieces and nephews.
