Doyle was born November 3, 1933 in Melcher, Iowa to Cary and Edna Branson Brown.

He attended school at Melcher and after school entered the U.S. Navy and was stationed at the Great Lakes. Doyle was a member of the American Legion Post 632.

He was married to Nalta Oxenreider in Princeton, Missouri on March 1, 1958. They made their home in Melcher where they raised their children.

Doyle had a great love for family and always enjoyed the fun times spent with his 6 children, 20 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. Doyle had a great sense of humor that he shared with everyone he knew.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and could do just about anything and was always willing to lend a hand to his family, friends, and neighbors.

Doyle passed away December 7, 2008 in Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son Robert, and a sister Deloris Brown.

Doyle is survived by his wife of 50 years Nalta; children: Doyle (Kim) Brown, Malinda (Dave) Johnson, Deloris (Darrell) Goering, Marvin (Lori) Brown, Darrel (Jody) Brown, and Pam Parker; 20 grandchildren: Dave Johnson, Robby Johnson, Brandon Brown, Darrell Goering, Andy Brown, Derick Johnson, Patrick Brown, Eric Brown, Ryan Brown, Angela Allen, Keri Emerick, Rosie Brown, Ashley Brown, Natasha Brown, Lacey Orr, Stephanie Stewart, Joselynn McKenna, Kelsey Brown, Lindsay Johnson, and Natalie Parker; 14 great grandchildren; siblings: Sarah Lehigh, Ralph Branson, and Theola Cooper; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
