Stephanie Sue Harvey was born July 5, 1959 in Austin, Texas the daughter of Marvin Dean “Sonny” Harvey and Patricia Marie “Pat” (Russell) Harvey.

As a girl, Stephanie’s family lived in several locations before moving to Knoxville. She graduated from Knoxville High School.

On October 12, 1979 she was united in marriage to Larry David Brooks at the First United Methodist Church in Knoxville, Iowa. To this union three daughters were born: Kimberly, Sally and Amy. David passed away on February 11, 2001.

Stephanie worked for the City of Knoxville as an Administrative Assistant for many years until retiring in October of 2008 due to health concerns.

In her spare time, she enjoyed movies, books, traveling, crocheting, and cross-stitching. Stephanie’s greatest joy was her family, and she was always there for them. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Stephanie passed away on Friday, June 26, 2006 at the Knoxville Area Community Hospital at the age of 49 years, 11 months and 21 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David and her grandparents, Wesley & Jesse Harvey.
Those left to honor her memory include by 3 daughters, Kimberly (Ryan) Roozeboom, Sally Brooks (Jared Smith) and Amy Brooks all of Knoxville; 7 grandchildren; parents, Sonny & Pat Harvey of Pleasantville; siblings, Nadine (Mark) Vickroy, Wesley (Rusty) Harvey all of Knoxville and Mike Harvey of Pleasantville and many other family members and friends.
