Daniel Arthur Pearson was born February 15, 1949 in Fort Collins, Colorado the son of Henry Pearson and Ellen Florence (Rogers) Pearson.

Dan lived in the Knoxville area most of his life. He worked at Western International in Des Moines for several years, at Hormel in Knoxville and mowed at Graceland Cemetery during the summer. Since Wal-Mart opened in Knoxville he has been employed there in the sporting goods department.

In his spare time, Dan enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. His greatest joy was spending time with his daughter, Samantha. She would go on Dan’s hunting and fishing trips and he would go shopping with her. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and brother.

Dan passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center, in Des Moines, at the age of 59 years, 9 months and 25 days.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Orrin and Lloyd and one sister, Vera Jacques.

He is survived by his wife, Pam; two daughters, Samantha and Teresa; son, Timothy Daggett; two sisters, Roxanna Pearson of Knoxville and Pauletta Pearson of Ft. Collins, Colorado and one brother, Henry Pearson and many other family members and friends.

Burial: Graceland Cemetery, Knoxville, IA
