Bob was born on January 17, 1924 in Knoxville, IA, the son of Amos Ruckman Jones and grace Elizabeth Core Jones.
He graduated from Knoxville High School in 1942.
He married Beverly Wood on June 14, 1963 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Melcher, Iowa.
Bob served with the US Army from 1948 to December 1951.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie Jean Phillips Jones in 1960, his parents, and brother Amos, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; daughters, Linda Shilling (Donnie) of Knoxville, Lisa Hanke of Ankeny and Carol Jones of Ankeny; three grandchildren, Kyle Shilling, Conner and Hannah Hanke; sister, Betty Conklin of Indianola; mother-in-law Winifred Hyatt and sister-in-law Bomell Mateer of Knoxville, and nieces and nephews.
