Joy Salann Adams was born November 28, 1973 in Newport News, Virginia to Roy and Rhonda (Lugenbeel) Goins.

Joy will always be remembered for being spontaneous, laughing, and always quick with a joke. She loved her family and friends very much, enjoying every minute spent with them. She was a great friend always putting herself last.

Attending the Knoxville National’s with her friends was Joy’s favorite part of the summer.

She passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at her mother’s residence at the age of 34 years, 8 months, and 4 days.

Joy was preceded in death by her father, Roy Goins Jr., grandfathers, Roy Goins Sr. and James Coger, grandmother, Sally Goins and an uncle, Charlie Coger.

She is survived by her sons, Kristofer Goins and Thomy Adams both of Swan, daughter, Lily Clementi of Montezuma; mother, Rhonda (Jack “Buddy”) Viers of Swan; sister, Serena Strong of Virginia; brother, James “J.C.” Goins of Des Moines; grandmother, Dorothy Coger of Alabama; along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
